New projections in Ariel’s Undersea Adventure

Made a special trip down to DCA just for this today.
I’m very happy the animation is 2D now.  However it looks really strange and not like the movie (like it was done for a cheap-quel) and also Ariel’s rack is huge!  Like seriously!  She’s got a teeny tiny waist and these big boobs and hips and she’s like Jessica Rabbit proportions.  Also in the later one her boobs jiggle like crazy!  It’s so strange

The new AA in the Under the Sea room is interesting too.  I mean it’s better than the DQ soft serve.  From the side it looks strangely like Princess Leia buns.  it’s better from the front (and I like that they added her pink flower)
I wish they’d kept the DQ hair and just added sea horses around her.  It would have looked fine

I’m in contact with one of the Imagineers who supervised this ride, and he said that the animation of Ariel was done by Mark Henn himself up in Burbank. Neat little fact. Personally, I think it looks WAY better than the CG animation.

No Headlights Required

We know you all are ready to see Cars Land. We are too! Nevertheless, we can’t stop imagining what it is going to be like inside the Land itself. We think the place is going to be just beautiful. If you’ve been to the Park in recent months, I’m sure you’ve seen the area lit up during the day…but how about at night?

Sure - most of us have seen the lights turned on and reflected off the mountain range and the neon signs at night, but thats about all of Cars Land we’ve seen at night. Until now.

Disney today has released some awesome high-quality photos of certain Cars Land landmarks at night taken by the official Disneyland Resort photographer and good friend of DE Paul Hiffmeyer. As we’ve said before in a previous post highlight more of Paul’s images of Cars Land during the day, Paul’s images really immerse the viewer in that story or “Cars.” As the saying goes, “Pictures are worth a thousand words.” We can’t wait to say a thousand more when we talk the Land ourselves on June 15.

No headlights required.
